Breanne Canzoneri
Certified Child Sleep Consultant
Breanne Canzoneri is a Family Sleep Institute Certified Child Sleep Consultant. She has a BA in English Writing and Secondary Education from North Central College along with an MA in Special Education from Northern Illinois University. Her experience as a middle school Special Education Teacher helped build her belief in the value of structure and strategic support when breaking down complex skills to enhance learning. Having two children at home now and transitioning from a teacher to a stay-at-home-mom, Breanne understands well the overwhelming feeling new mother’s have when bringing a baby home for the first time.
Breanne’s passion for sleep began when she was pregnant with her first child, Amelia. A close friend had recommended a well-known book about forming healthy sleep habits in children and Breanne soon recognized its great value. The science behind sleep captured her attention as she was able to make direct connections to the affects of unhealthy sleep habits and past students she worked with. The science presented in the text was simply undeniable and she knew guiding her children to healthy sleep habits would be a critical focus for her as a new mom. With the support of her husband Anthony, she used her teaching background to utilize behavioral intervention methods to guide her daughter to become an independent and sound sleeper. The value of these skills became clearer as her daughter grew into a toddler and even more parenting challenges presented themselves.
Breanne quickly realized that when sleep is taken care of, our minds are free to take on the rest of what life throws our way. She, undoubtedly then, went on to help her second child, Joey, to shape his own healthy sleep habits. After spending some time working for a larger sleep consulting group, Breanne decided to open her personal business in 2020. Sleep Bar was born.

In her spare time, Breanne enjoys running, hot yoga, and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys her husband’s homemade lattes on weekend mornings and is always happy to put her head on the pillow each night.
My Philosophy
All children are capable of forming healthy sleep habits and all parents are capable of guiding them there. When careful considerations are made for the environment, schedule, routine, and response, healthy sleep habits follow for the whole family.
